What we offer
Services That Set Us Apart
01
Diagnosis and Realistic Treatment Plan
Research shows that most patients are interested in having both a diagnosis and realistic treatment plan. We reserve 60 minutes for every new patient evaluation. This allows time to thoroughly assess your condition, needs, and expectations and rule out any serious medical illnesses to develop a treatment plan. A clear understanding of your condition and limitations will help you and your physician to develop a treatment plan suited to your unique needs.
02
Diagnostics: Point of Care Musculoskeletal Ultrasound and Electrodiagnostic Studies (EMG/NCS)
Having diagnostic ultrasound services on site helps us provide a clear diagnosis for many conditions without all the time, money, or hassle of scheduling an MRI.
Dr. Grierson carries the RMSK (Registered in Diagnostic Musculoskeletal Ultrasound) certification and helps train the next generation of physicians in diagnostic musculoskeletal sonography at courses around the country.
If your physician needs a EMG/NCS “nerve test” to assess your function, our wait times are much shorter than anywhere else in Seattle.
03
Musculoskeletal Interventions, Including Lumbar Spine Injections
Our clinic offers a range of injections for joints, tendons, ligaments, and nerve injuries. We perform routine spine injections to help with pain, including lumbar epidural steroid injections, facet injections, and sacroiliac joint injections.
We offer many newer techniques, such as hydrodissection, extracorporeal shockwave therapy and other orthobiologic / regenerative medicine approaches.
During your appointment, we are happy to review the full spectrum of non-surgical musculoskeletal care with you. In cases where surgery is necessary, we can help you find a top notch surgeon to guide next steps.

TEN STARS for Dr Matthew Grierson and his crew. I’m a provider, so I’m very particular with medical care for my family. My teenagers are athletes who have had multiple injuries this year.
Dr Grierson receives big thumbs up each time we’ve seen him. He’s been knowledgeable, methodical & thorough. He’s been extremely engaging with my sons and they come away feeling seen and heard. I also examine patients so I’m watching his techniques and am impressed by his high level of skill. He thinks holistically about the big picture as well as precise details.
He’s gone the extra mile repeatedly. I endorse him highly!! He’s a gem. We need more doctors like him who don’t rush to surgery or cortisone injections.
★★★★★
Dr. Grierson and Sound Spine and Joint Physicians have always impressed me. They get to the root cause and lay out options. They are not aggressive in their approach to care and clearly educate the patient on what each option offers. I personally like to be included in my care plan and have always had that option here. The medical staff are always a pleasure to work with also.

Dr Grierson listens attentively and provides amazing patient centred care.
